I assume many of you on here have dogs and have no hesitation in having your dog in your car.
Well, we are going to Devon soon, with my step daughter and her dog. My policy is that I refuse to have a dog in my car, ( smell, hair ) so I have resorted to hiring a car for a few days to keep every one happy. By the way, her dog is a Cocker Spaniel. Apparently, they don't shed hairs.

I have a cocker.Suggest you have the it clipped and bathed.Should be ok.

You're all making this rather complicated. The famille Gavroche should drive off en vacances and hire a dog once they arrive.
You don't even need to pay for the loan of one. My daughter joined "Borrow My Doggie" and gets to borrow a local dog FOC. The owners pay the agency for canine respite. It works really well. Bingo, a testicularly-challenged Jack Russell is almost like a temporary member of the family.

A term we often use when talking about wet vaccing seats, headlining etc. sorry I should have explained abit more. It would be a great shame for the next person who hires the car to be sombody allerguc to dogs.

This may be of use to the OP,

Thanks for that. The car hire firm is Hertz and they don't seem to be on that list. Oh well, worth taking a chance.
