You will be one of the luckiest men on earth if you take a hire car back covered in dog hair and don't get charged at least £50 for valeting it. Dog hair can be a nightmare to remove (it gets into the weave) and I've known some valeting companies simply refuse to take on particularly doggy interiors

Hire a car, pay for it, then ring your card company and report it lost and they'll cancel it and send you a new one. On the very rare occasions I've hired cars I've always done this to avoid them trying to stiff me for imaginary damage, quite a common wheeze in some countries.

He's a dog, not a person. He's not much into holidays or shopping.
He likes to run round the garden, lick himself and sleep. Being in a crowded town centre wouldn't be any fun at all. Staying with eldest son is much more his thing.
Well said, too many people treat their dogs as if they were human beings. They can be good companions but they are still primarily animals.
