Bring it over to mine, I'll sort it out.

Alternatively, if you have a cable adjuster on your rear mech, andor an inline cable adjuster, the down tube stop is surplus. Find a cable outer ferrule/ end cap that fits square in the top of the down tube cable stop and just wire through it.

Where do you live? I'm in Leicester.

Yes there is a cable adjuster for the rear mech - it's another barrel adjuster located on the top end of the downtube (on the opposite side to the broken one). There's no inline adjuster. Can't work out what you mean with your idea, but if I read it a few more times I'm sure the penny will drop eventually. Cheers

I think you could add one of these to the clamp on cable stop suggested above and get your functionality back.

No reason to remove the existing one unless you want to for cosmetic reasons?

But I've never used any of these bits myself so caveat emptor!

So would your item fit into one of these holes, is that the idea?

York.

Most rear derailleurs have a cable tension adjuster located at the point where the cable enters. Some shifters have cable tension adjusters where the cable leaves the unit.

Inline cable adjusters are also available. However I've never encountered one which had sprung indents, so they can't really be relied on to hold a setting.

It's the front mech adjuster that snapped off.

Thanks, but as @raleighnut says, it's the front mech barrel adjuster that's broken.

Yeah, clamp that round the down tube then fit the adjuster where you've circled.

SJS also have those cable stops in different downtube diameters of you follow the link to the adjuster.

I *think* that would work, but like I say I've never actually used any of these components, so might well have missed something.

Its an Allez so probably has a large diameter downtube so I suspect the idea of a clamp won't work. Mazz you may need to take it into a local bike shop and get them to carefully drill the 'bits' out - but that does need someone mechanically competent.

The broken part of the 'easyout' is not drill-able, too hard.
