Dream cycling route

Where would your dream cycling route be if money and time was no object?
Mine would be in Provence, in June, amonsgt the sound of crickets and the smell of lavanda in the fields. Pure delight!!

Dream route - still Pamir Highway, but it looks doubtful I will acheive that now so I will settle for the Atacama Dessert which looks more likely

Riding no hands down the Champs-Élysées in late July in my bright yellow jersey waving to thousands of my adoring fans who are screaming my name at the top of their lungs.

Back in the early 70s I was in the armed forces based in Germany. A small group of us had planned to cycle round ( what was then) West Germany. Following the borders. We got the backing of our squadron commander and we were all set to go. The regimental commander, however, thought it was a waste of resources. He transfered three of our group to other units and sent two others on training courses. The whole project fell through and I never got another chance. I'd love to do that ride.
