I drove in to work this morning had to take wife into work due to ice etc (good excuse not to cycle into work) cant believe the amount of cars driving round in the dark with out their lights on. Just wondering why arent the bbc filiming this rather than cyclist running red lights.

You have a gap in the market there to become the Jeremy Whine of the dark.

There is *no* excuse for not cycling to work, let alone a "good" one. You are a disgrace to the fraternity and I hereby curse you to forever ride into a headwind, and suffer a plague of malevolent imps in your padded gusset.

Rear lights off. Its the idiots with DRL's that dont realise the rear lights dont illuminate on most cars. So much for switching auto lights on.

Saw a few of those this morning.

Once GMT arrives I flick the vans headlights to an and leave tnem there. This also means the mighty, and very aptly named, Lazer spotlights come on when I flash high beam.

It is not "in the public interest"

which most media organisations interpret as
"what the majority of our viewers - and possible future viewers WANT to see"

and the majority of viewers are far more riled up interested in 2 cyclists riding through a red light with no traffic coming
than 100 cars driving without lights in the dark and rain

after all - HAVE YOU SEEN THE NUMBER OF INJURIES CAUSED BY CYCLISTS LAST YEAR!!!!!
(naturally including anything that could be called an ebike
and - of course - ignoring any comparison with car "accidents")

I have a good excuse for not cycling into work, which is that I don't want to.

Weird that you never included that important detail in your opening salvo about you and your wife driving about with no film crews following.
