My Secteur cost £700 in a sale about 18 months ago. It's gone down about 6000 miles of tarmac since then in all weathers. It's far more of a bike than I can possibly utilise. Buying a more expensive one is not going to make me a better cyclist, believe me, but I bought it as a reward to myself for stopping smoking, and that's worth a bob or two.
