As a full time addict I used to smoke any tabs I could get really, but when choice prevailed it was originally Bensons then Regal KS until the price started going up, then it was L&B Silver for me and Mrs Smoo. Also usd to have the occasional foray into roll ups, but generally got bored of that quite quickly.
I used to also treat myself to pack of Lucky Strikes from time to time. There's a fantastic tobacconists in Bolton called Arthur Morris. The smell when you go in is amaaaaazing. He has loads of loose tobacco in old wooden drawers you can buy by the oz, and he used to import foreign smokes as well.
The first fags I smoked were 555 followed by Dunhill, at the grand old age of 10!!! *hangs head in shame* My mates parents both smoked and had 200's in the house, so he'd half inch a pack of whichever when he could, and because neither of us would take them home we used to hide them in a dry stone wall that had a stone missing at the top of our street.

I remember you could buy single fags from a lot of shops when I was at school. It's a wonder I wasn't as thin as a lat in my teens as most of my dinner money went on fags and until Clipper Cards I very often had to walk home!5 woodbine after school, and a penny book of matches. I was 12.

I packed in about 8 years ago. I'd tried so many times before in various ways. The successful time was due to me thinking this over for a few weeks-
I work 160 hours a month and earn=x
The government takes=y
I food shop, run a car, pay insurances, bills, save a bit, holiday a bit etc....
With the remainder I see fit to pay money to put white sticks in my mouth, set fire to them and eat the resulting smoke. This smoke makes me stink and feel really unwell and short of breath.
After "brainwashing" myself to the positive I had 2 weeks of cold turkey then I was absolutely fine. One of the best things I've ever done. I hate to think what would have happened had I not stopped.

Love reading how people gave up and how it gave them the lungs and freedom to get a better life. I smoked way too much, but slowly and painfully changed my habits to become the cycling deity I am now

I used to go on roll ups telling myself I'd smoke less, but the truth was I'd sit watching TV at night rolling and stock piling them
