The Norwegian commentator on Eurosport here was quite good and neutral.

Although most Norwegians don't understand the difference between England, Great Britain, the United Kingdom, and the British Isles or the flags of home countries.

Oh come. I think you'll know very well that Norwegians understand England, the UK, and all things British (including the flags) better than most Britons do!
The minor islands, I'll give you that, and we can forgive the Norwegians that too.

Most Europeans dont seem to get this - On tour I normally dont advertise what nationality I am - my recent tour I wore a baseball cap with the St George flag on it for 90% of the time - most expendable one I own - £2.99 from Tesco in the bargain bin after the Rugby or football world cup before last, before last - most people took me to be Swiss, Norwegian, Danish and several guessed at Iceland

Nicola Sturgeon has just announced that although Scotland have been defeated 3-0 at Wembley in tonight's football, this result is not going to be accepted by the Scottish people because "we didn't want to lose and it's not the result we wanted"..... she demands the game be replayed until she gets the result she wants.....

A bit off topic but that's never stopped me before: is there any reason why Scotland couldn't play in blue instead of magenta? I reckon teams should only have to use the away strip when it clashes with the home team's strip.
