Ennio Morricone dies.

The brilliant composer who famously wrote the scores for the spaghetti westerns following his friendship with director Sergio Leone has dies at the age of 91. He also composed music for many other films and TV shows and received two oscars as well as other awards for his work. He was annoyed that he was constantly connected with the westerns and called it a ‘straight jacket’.

I have a double CD of his stuff.

Had the chance to see him conduct at the Albert Hall a few years ago which I stupidly let pass.

The theme from The Mission and Once Upon A Time In The West are my favourites both posted above so I will post this by an amzing talent she was only 14 when she won the contest singing this. An amazing singer I have seen her live in Prague whilst visiting the inlaws.
