Eurotunnel and bikes. Has anyone done it? Web site not have a bike option alike on the ferry
http://www.eurotunnel.com/uk/traveller-info/vehicles/bicycles/

I think they load you and the bikes into a minibus off site, pop you on the train, and do the same the other end.

If you phone tomorrow, you might get my wife on the end of the phone....

It is possible to put your bike on the same eurostar on which one travels. I have just booked two bicycles on the Eurostar to Brussels in May. I phoned first, was told there were bike spaces for the dates I wanted and I booked up. It costs £30 per bike journey. It is also possible to send bikes as freight for £25 but it is not guaranteed that your bike travels on the same train as you do. The other option is to dismantle the bike and carry on as luggage.

looking at the ferry (£19.50)from Dover is a better option that the train(£16 for bike plus ticket for me)

You dont pay twice... £16 is the fare. Eurotunnel do not carry foot passengers, so you pay for the vehicle, in your case, the bike.

Even so... The ferry is a couple of pounds more, and has sailings every hour or more, rather than two trips a day on the Shuttle. I'd still use the ferry.
