Couldn't be happier with our i3, which was designed in an era where buttons still existed ^_^

The ID4 has some buttons. They are crap. My favourite is the genius who put the volume and temperature controls on touch sensitive slider buttons but decided that backlighting them would be too expensive - thus making it almost impossible to adjust the heating or volume in the dark (although you can adjust the volume from the steering wheel with its unnecessary haptic buttons).

My bigger gripe is that my phone connects to the system in my daughters 2020 fiat 500 every time. In a luxury car 5 times the price, it can't. It often takes minutes - sometimes a whole drive can elapse as it refuses to talk to Android Auto.

More and more places are installing 7kW chargers, which is extremely convenient. I carry a 25 metre extension and often plug our car into a 3 pin plug let it trickle charge at 2.8kW over 24 hours if we are staying several days

I rented a cottage at the weekend with a free 7kw charger.
That was a game changer for me. No worrying about charging in an unknown location.
It will be something I now look for in all future trips.

We did the same in Leeds, a week from Oxford to Leeds and back plus trips to York and Harrogate etc and we didn’t use one public charger. Perfect!

Quick question? Some people don’t have a fast charger fitted to their house wall. (£1000).
They manage with a slow 230-240v trickle charger. How easy is it to manage without the fast wall charger, driving 50 miles a day in a Cupra born EV.

What's the range of that car at 80% charge?

Using the standard domestic 3pin option, you should be able to add 50 miles of range in about 6 hours.

I use such a setup and my car goes from 60 miles range (20%) to 285 miles (80%) in 20 hours. I'm not using it every day so it's always easy for me to allow for this in my schedule.
