This heat is absolutely eating into range on my EV.
Just go home, 40% battery with a range of just 50 miles because the AC is pulling all the power.
40% would usually give range of 120-140.

Wow that’s interesting. I didn’t think it would be that power hungry, one to watch.

I keep reading about owners getting over 20,000 miles from a set of tyres on an EV so I’m a bit concerned about my tyre wear.

Just put a full set on my CUPRA Born at 26000 miles, only expense so far!

Still really impressed with it, the early niggles, mainly infotainment glitches seem to have been sorted and it’s now a good comfortable reliable car, in fact we’ve just extended the lease for another year

This probably explains why I see so many new EV's with the window's down at the minute. Hardly affects an ICE vehicle's fuel, but you've the inertia of the engine driving the compressor, not a motor.
