Has anyone been to one of these events? Are they worth going to? I'll have to miss Pilates but this is the first time there's been one in riding distance.
No, and I'm a bloke so never will. Is it a ride, or are they trying to sell you stuff? Do you want people to sell you stuff?Has anyone been to one of these events? Are they worth going to? I'll have to miss Pilates but this is the first time there's been one in riding distance.

Is it like an Ann Summers party?
Latex tubes would be common to both (I'm guessing).
That's not the half of it considering the way my wife came home from one of them.Latex tubes would be common to both (I'm guessing).
Great - that's good to hear, since even the bad thing about it (not hearing the speakers) is as a result of a good thing (more women on bikes, which means simply more people on bikes too) and I'm glad you enjoyed it. What was in the goodie bag? *does that thing where you peer nosily into your chum's shopping bag, only virtually*Well, I went to the Evans ladies event. There were a lot of people so it it was hard to hear the speakers from the back. Apparently they had the most ladies they had ever seen in the store! No hard sell. Anyway, I got 20% discount on components I needed and a goodie bag.
Not bad! Wanna go on the arseommeter! (perhaps they keep it in store?).Water bottle. Multitool. Sports nutrition sample pack. Specialised socks. All in a cotton shopping bag with the slogan: "Yes, I ride like a girl, try to keep up."
There were drinks and nibbles too.
The "arseommeter" for measuring saddle size was very popular!
Love it!All in a cotton shopping bag with the slogan: "Yes, I ride like a girl, try to keep up."
