PVA type glues aren't ideal for wood veneer... which begs the question, what is?
Why is pva not ideal for this?

A thin veneer sheet has a habit of wrinkling when wet, and PVA is quite wet and dries slowly. Whilst PVA could be used and can be used (I have used it), I don't believe it to be 'ideal', as in, the 'go to' glue for veneering. :okay:

A bit less pva on the veneer, let it semi-dry on both surfaces. thin cloth cover & a cool iron over the top.

What, Romanian Tachographs?

I learnt today that the emblem that features on the lower half of Lord Patel’s coat of arms, which I took to be some sort of wheatsheaf, is in fact a representation of four asiatic lions and is the state emblem of India.
