Yeh to be honest it's more function over form!.

Best looking bit is the clutch (OS Giken R3C), shame you can't see it..

Yes, the box is a robotised manual box. Quite decent in tiptronic mode though.

DSG is great, until you get to clutch change time and discover it has two of them, and the replacement cost could buy you a very tidy used car.

That's similar to what happened to a mate. DSG problems which weren't fixable reasonably in his Golf GTI.

I had a 147 Selespeed but as a company car. Lots of electrical glitches despite everything being Bosch. Stability would make the car jiggle for no reason, brake system failure lights at low speed (stop and re-boot cured it). Bloody great fun to drive, and it had a Bose sound system. I changed jobs and bought a boring Nissan that was no trouble - and had a sound system close to the Bose one. Still got that car 14 years later.
