For me doctor who died when tom baker left but i am an old fart

Dr Who died when Patrick Troughton left, but then I am old enough to remember when it had some credibility and he did just get out of every fix by waving his chronic screwdriver.

Dr Who nowadays is just one long sequence of shots of people rushing from one place to another looking startled or gobsmacked, with some poor special effects thrown in.

Oh, horrid pig, why do you degrade our nice thread by lambasting DrWho so?

Well, I feel my justification lies in the fact that it's a heck of a lot more interesting than the the TV show!

I'm convinced that the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama at Cardiff runs a special Dr Who course for actors. "Ok, stand there and look scared, and on the count of 3 run to your left."
