Website is useless!!!

Trying to order my Boardman hybrid. I have a BC discount which means I have to pay instore.

My local stores have no stock so I'm can only pay upfront online in order for them to order it.

A further away store does have it but the system will only reserve until COB tomorrow. Grrrr

Will have to hope they still have stock and order on Friday for collection on Saturday. Even then you can't collect until after 4pm!!!

When I ordered mine they held the reservation for another 48 hours. Reserve it then give them a call.

Problem with lots of websites & IT systems is they are written by developers who don't live in the real world

If a store doesn't have stock itself they can order it for you, you don't have to do it online. You would have to pay at time of ordering, but you could use your BC discount. If there is one in another store you can "click and collect" and if you ring them and tell them you can't collect it until whatever day they should hold it for you.
I have no idea why you would have to wait till after 4pm to collect on a Saturday either.
Are they building the bike for you?? That sometimes causes problems with "the system" because online ordering doesn't allow for the mechanics schedules being full already.
Which store is it? Don't let them fob you off because they can't be bothered, go back in and get them told!

Ring them, tell then you'd like to spend £1000 in their shop as they have what you're after there, explain that as they're further away you won't be able to make it till the weekend and ask if they would ever so nicely keep it longer than the automated system allows. Chances are they'll oblige. No point in slagging off the store until you've tried that.

Fair play to them. I just placed my order and they rang about 15 minutes later to confirm when i want to collect. 10am on Saturday is fine
