I hated my father like poison and even if he was still alive he wouldn't have got a card from me, nor for birthdays or Christmas.

Sad but your not alone :hugs: . I haven't spoken to my father in over 15 years and he doen't get anything from me.

I last spoke to my father on June 6th 1976.
I have been told that he has since died.I don't know when nor where & I don't know where he is buried.

I dont see the real point in cards. Why can you not just say "Happy Fathers Day dad, love you lots" Instead of writing it down on a piece of card which will end up in the bin and have no resemblence of anything affectionate once it has been viewed by the whole family.

Or, like my kids, you could make a card ?

I got up this morning and was sent back to bed...fry up joined me five minutes later !

watched the last hour of the 24hr Du Mans and was pleased to see the etron audis take 1 and 2.
UKPN arrived to change a sparking cut out and i am now watching aussies rules footy. ( legalised brawling from what i can make out )

Kids (teenagers!) both still in bed when I went out for a swim. They had dragged themselves out of bed for lunch by the time I got back. They are forgiven though - boxed DVD set of Lance Armstrong and some Lindor choccies, which they will probably help me to eat.

Wife has disappeared off to her horse, and no sign of the kids yet. Unlikely to see either of them anytime soon, and probably won't be any sign of elder daughter until at least mid afternoon at earliest - and even then she'll just grunt or insult me. When my wife comes home it is likely the only mention of Fathers Day will be to remind me I have to visit my own dad...and that I should have cleaned the bathrooms, walked the dogs, done the ironing and made tea. Just a normal Sunday then.

It's as if I have the power of knowing the future, cos exactly what I said was likely to happen actually did.
