, it's that day, late September, early October, when the air seems to take a new consistency, so to speak.
Not your usual damp and wet - that's here all year round in Scotland - but a new, fresh crispiness hinting of the winter months to come, of the promises brought by a new year soon to start.
This smell last maybe a few days, always puts me in a mood for Christmas baking.
It's probably just a barometer change, hinting of the heating bills to come
