My old mum loved the smell of freesias and when I smell them I think of her.
The smell of books old or new is part of my lost pleasure in books.
I was in a car with my 9 year old grandson recently and his aroma was at the other end (so to speak) of the spectrum please note Flying Monkey.

I forgot to mention: love the "smell of winter coming".
Well, I think you can "smell" winter coming , it's that day, late September, early October, when the air seems to take a new consistency, so to speak.
Not your usual damp and wet - that's here all year round in Scotland - but a new, fresh crispiness hinting of the winter months to come, of the promises brought by a new year soon to start.
This smell last maybe a few days, always puts me in a mood for Christmas baking.
It's probably just a barometer change, hinting of the heating bills to come

Oh, that nice smell that comes off clothes when you are ironing them. I hate ironing but the smell reminds me of being at my Nan's or my Aunt's when I was small.
