Personally, I find it intolerable, have to take gallons of water, and sweat buckets when it gets to about the 22 degree mark.

I love it when it's about 16 degrees - nice and fresh and I don't dehydrate. I can ride all day at that temperature in shorts and t-shirt.

I am absolutely astonished when it's a baking hot day (well into the 20's) and I see a roady powering along wearing a long-sleeve jersey almost completely zipped up over a t-shirt!!! How can you possibly ride like that without dying of heatstroke?!!!

Between freezing and 5 degrees.

I don't mind it below freezing, but I don't like the crap they put on the roads.

I prefer cold to hot. You can always add more layers but there's only so many that you can take off.

Good thread.... I eschewed a ride yesterday because it was forecast for 30c. That's way too damned hot and I suffer when it goes over around mid 20s.

I can handle low 20s okay but I much prefer the 18ish mark if I'm to stay in short sleeves etc. Don't mind cooler if I'm dressed for it. Oddly, I quite like getting togged up for winter rides.

Cooler the better IMO. My immediate problem is I've got the CAT & FIDDLE CHALLENGE tomorrow with the forecast about the same as today,

I'll be taking 2 x 500ml bottles and my 2l camelbak, (and some cash!). I very seldom use the camelbak but I'll definitely need it tomorrow.

The bottles are in the freezer already, and the camelbak will be filled with ice in the morning

For me I'd say about 15 degrees. I did a 25 miler yesterday in 27 degrees and the most annoying thing was the sweat running into my eyes on the climbs. Normally that doesn't happen.

I find about 25 degrees is optimum for me. Love the heat, the speed always goes up.

I'm only comfortable in shorts and short sleeves from about 18 degrees plus. I can't understand people who wear shorts in winter!

I don't know the exact temperature but I think the suggestions above of circa 15deg C sounds about right.

Had great intentions of going for a ride this afternoon, however after about 10 minutes I gave it up as a bad job and returned home.

As much as I enjoy the nice hot weather we've been having lately, I didn't find it cycle friendly.
