I like the old ads for Thompsons water seal. In essence, a burly builder sort with a Danny Dyer type menacing cockney attitude would walk on screen and basically threaten you if you didn't buy some. It frit me up so bad I was straight down B&Q to do as I was told.

This came out in 1999, to much controversy if I remember. Watching it now there are elements that are waaaay ahead of its time, although my favourite is still the young girl who says “conquered worralds”.

Any advert which contains a father spending time with his child, portrayed in a positive light. I do tire of the 'men are rubbish at looking after kids' thing.
