The one where Del takes a real beating for Rodney.

Yes that and when Rodney gets married and Dell realises he's now alone and lonely after spending most of his life looking after Rodney. Also the one with the scene where they are stuck in the lift and Rodney reveals his wife (Cassandra?) has a miscarriage or similar, not not mention a few other scenes like that which were so well written and portrayed.

I don't care one jott for Dell falling through the bar (especially as everyone goes on and on and bloody ON about it - Give it a rest already!!), but what I did like about it were the scenes where you saw the real human characters coming through, the scenes that made you want to laugh and cry at the same time, the genuine scenes, the ones with the empathy and pathos, the scenes that made it more than just another comedy, the scenes where they became 'real people' as it were.

Too many to list really.

Recently watched Series 5 on DVD and loved the hangliding episode. Love them all. The only one I never really got was the Miami Twice episode. Didn't find it funny.

One of my favourite moments would be Dell trying to chat to up to girls in a club with his usual bullshit telling them Rodney was a professional tennis player and Rodney wasn't listening and one of the girls asked him if he preferred grass or astroturf, Rodney replied he had never smoked astroturf!

OFAH was one of the few programmes to address AIDS problem in the eighties when the biggest problem was educating the public, unfortunately this was mostly limited to a government advert starring a metaphorical iceberg. Del's worries about catching HIV from a homosexual barber nicking his neck with a pair of scissors was superbly put down by Rodney ........ "well as long as he doesn't kiss it better then you're laughing !"

Hats off to the writers.

For some reason, series 5 is missing from my collection of series 1 to 6. Someone must have "borrowed" it. Must replace it! Had forgotten about that grass or astroturf scene, brilliant .

Yeah I remember that one. Del also says to one of the girls(pushing Rodney as a tennis player) "we've just been to get him measured up for a new bat" Girl says: "Don't you mean a racket" Del says: " At those prices it is a racket"....Classic!

That was one of my favourite episodes. They had sold a MKII Cortina Crayford (Wish I had to sell right now) with no brakes and the guy crashes into the back of them at the end when they are driving Boycie's E-type because Del stopped suddenly after Rodney informed him he'd thrown a cigar packet with the girl's phone number written on it out the window.

Jolly Boys Outing......fav lines would be when Del is waxing lyrical about Raquel and says she lights up the room when she walks in. Rodney in his deadpan way responds along the lines....most of your birds when they walk in a room light up a fag!!!
