Fell off the wagon

I fell off the abstinance wagon with a hell of a thump last night. Necked a big glass of scotch.

I'd just got back from the hospital where Mums been for the last 10 days. She fell down a flight of stone stairs in the snow/ice last week and has broken several bones, and smashed her face in - not good for a frail 85yr old at the best of times.

She's been having massive bleeds from the facial damage, and we were told last night that her blood is not clotting properly, and that she probably wont survive another bleed if it happens.

Got dad home last night and we both had a drink and a bit of a cry. So far this years been a bit of a bastard, to say the least.
