First 100 miler on Saturday

That sounds like an interesting route. Which paths are you planning to take?

Forth and Clyde to Falkirk , then the Union to Edinburgh.
Apparently it's straightforward, but fairly boring in places

Successfully finished the ride. 106 miles, 6,836 feet of climbing done in 6 hours and 50 minutes riding time, making an average speed of 15.5 mph. Pretty happy with that for my first century. Enjoyed it, but not sure I'll do one again for a while.

For your first century, and one with a decent bit of climbing in it, I reckon that's a very impressive average speed!

Well I'll certainly remember the last 10 km. There was a brutal steep climb at about 10 km from the finish. I didn't walk because I've never walked a climb yet, but after that I was on the verge of throwing up for the last 10 km.
