Test rode it today. Great ride and yeah, it does look the absolute ****.

The frames seem to come up quite small and also have quite a short top tube. I have a crappy Carerra road bike from Halfords, which is a 56 and comes up a tiny bit large on me (I'm 6 foot 1). I tried a 58 in the Cube today and that was a tiny bit small - going to try a 60 tomorrow to see how I get on with it. Something to bear in mind for those looking at the Cube bikes!
www.leisurelakesbikes.co.uk do Cube & if you join the V.I.P club before purchasing bike (at cost of £30) you get 5% off all new bikes & a Muc Off bike cleaning kit worth over £30 @ RRP.

Worth a punt maybe ?

This is where I plan to get my C2W Cube (but it is fairly local) although they are a small chain dealership.

I've just ordered a 2013 black/celeste Bianchi Vertigo Veloce for £1199 which was a nice 23% saving on the original price with no change in spec with the 2014 edition, its a bloomin gorgeous machine! :smooch:

I feel a bit like a guy who's just past his driving test buying a Ferrari !!

I reckon its money well spent as my cycling needs all the help it can get!!

Should arrive just in time for my next days off :wahhey:

I bought my carbon bike 12 months ago, a Forme Axe Edge Pro and I am delighted with it. List price is £1799 but with discount, only paid £1500. With Ultegra and 4ZA components and wheels I am so pleased with it; a pleasure to ride. I think the latest models come with a Mavic Ksyrium wheelset and also have the Ultegra 11 speed. British built, too!

Cycle Surgery have offered me a 2012 cube Agree GTC Race for £1500 (full ultegra group set). Should I go for this over a new 2014 Cube Agree GTC Pro (105 groupset)?

Decisions decisions!

What colour are they ... I'd go for the better components if the frame is the same, the wheels are certainly better on the Race

If the former, get them to price match Tweeks (if same size) http://www.tweekscycles.com/Product.do?method=view&n=3286&g=257255&p=257273&c=215

This years race is much nicer colour wise...

The colour is the black and red one - which I much prefer to the blue 2014 colours. I think I will go for the 2012, but am going to hammer them down on the cost
1500 quid for 2012 Cube Agree GTC Race is pretty steep IMO, when you can get the 2014 model for 1599.

Yeah think I'm going to try and get them down on it - at least to price match Tredz and hopefully more off also. You're right that it's not that much less than the 2014 Race and I'm assuming there will be a fair bit of movement in it since I imagine they'll be looking to shift it given it is the 2012 model.

I've just bought a Cube Agree GTC Pro 2013.. With some serious discounts it's a stunning bike.

But check opinion on Cube sizes - they tend to come up a bit small in my experience (I've had 3 Cube road bikes)

Yeah, I've been sized pretty perfectly to a 60cm frame, even though I've been riding a 56cm cheapo Carerra fine for months ( I'm 6 foot 1)

Yes, I would imagine there should be a lot of movement, earlier this year you could of picked up a 2013 model for around 1300 quid.

Sizing is certainly weird between makes, I ride a 56 in Specialized, had a 56 in a Giant but felt quite stretched. Just bought a 55 in a Raleigh, which is a small/medium but its more or less same geo as the 56 in Specialised ?? I think for perfect reach sometimes you need to tweak the stem length and saddle etc.
