The video cannot be used as evidence against me, because there is no proof that I was the one in the video, and there is no view of the numberplate. So there is no way anyone could be fined/arrested after just viewing the video. I have not said I was the person in it, and I have not linked it to this page.

Matthew, you cannot be the Mighty Moral Mouse of Road Vengeance and Rectitude one minute and a Grubby Little Chav-Scally riding motorcycles illegally in car parks and saying the coppers can't touch you the next.

You can be one or the other or you can look ridiculous. Your copybook is blotted, but not fatally.

I'd choose if I were you. One or the other, not both. Preferably neither.

He won't listen, and I can bet by the end of the day he won't have phoned the DVLA for some advice. That's what we've advised, and he's not about to admit he has been a tool.

Your biggest mistake seems to be that you chose to broadcast your indiscretion on a social media site....especially one which has more than its fair share of people who are also very anti 'motor powered vehicles'
Nobody else at the time gave a toss what you were doing on the bike.

I havent said anything. And even if I did, that means nothing.
I killed Hitler. Does that means its the truth? No. Saying something is not evidence of the truth.

Godwin's Law!!!! You lose!!!!

I can't find the video. Has it been taken down?

I wanted to see the bit where you killed Hitler.

Is this not the description on the video?:
I got this motorbike with the intention of using it through the winter. Unfortunately, my needs have changed which mean that I wont be keeping the bike.
This is my first ride on it. I already knew which were the gears and which were the brakes so it was pretty easy to get it moving.
I enjoyed my first ride, however it is probably my last.

Leaving that aside, something smells very fishy about this bike. The fact that the speedometer is a KPH one suggests it wasn't imported through official channels and the fact the V5 hasn't turned up makes me wonder whether the thing has been properly registered at all. What checks did you do before buying?

Well I bought a scoot off an ebay seller in London last weekend. I did go an collect it myself, and fill in the paperwork. It would be interesting to see how long it takes for the V5 to turn up.

And presumably it came back completely clear.

I don't really know about motorbikes. How is the chassis number attached to the vehicle? Is it on a plate or is it stamped into the frame?

No way it could have been tampered with?

Who'd go to the hassle for a cheap chinese scoot ?
