Looking at flat pedals, but I end up at DMR V12 for £50! Not sure spending half the price of the bike is what I need to be doing though! Any decent recommendations or are the V12s worth it?

I got DMR V12 Magnesium’s on 3 road bikes. Faultless, rebuildable, super-light. Just fit and go ride……👍

Also have DMR V8’s (V2) on one of the beaters. Worth a look too. Little heavier of course……..

Cheap pedals often don’t last / become a pain. Only one of 3 touch-points of course. Worth doing properly 😉

I reconsidered this this morning when entering the big roundabout outside Stirling and trying to get my foot clipped in while a massive lorry made its way round the roundabout towards me. Maybe flat pedals might be safer!

Or learn how to pedal with one foot unclipped. My commuting bike is set up with spd touring pedals which makes it easy, and whilst one foot my dominant one is always clipped in the other isnt clipped in until I feel right. I do similar with my spd-sl's on my other bike. Its safer and more shin friendly than having the dominant foot slide off in the wet.
