Flat Bar v Drop Bar

I have those wing shaped grips that support your palms on my flattie. I find they help more than the alternative position that bar ends provide.

I have the same issue although my bastisch conversion feels like it needs wider drop bars for stability .

I just measured my bars - 43cm (centre to centre) at the ramps, 46cm at the bar-ends and a drop of 14cm. Velo Orange Grand Cru Course

I originally bought a narrower size but my oversized 16litre handlebar bag would not fit inside lol.

I had a mini panic when I saw the bars on my bike were a 42cm set because I felt they were too narrow and had bought some 42cm ones to replace them!

It turned the fitted bars are only 42cm at the ends, but 38cm at the brake hoods, so they're obviously a flared set. Phew!

Drops every time for me. Metal work in my arm means keeping my left hand vertical is far more comfortable

I find my hands go a bit numb on flats after 4-6 hours in the same position.
