We have a few in the lounge

I reckon the problem is the fly screens we have on the patio doors to stop flies getting in
They work fine

but if any get in through other windows or when we open a door
then the buggers can;t get out again!

We have the grand kids round so I have got a 2l bottle of coke in
when it is finished then I think will try making a home made fly trap from it

Loads up in the hills Highlands this summer, especially horse fly/clegs. Usually the no fly zone can be enjoyed a couple of hundred metres off the deck but we had trouble this year all the way past 900m and sometimes on the summits.

Watch out for stable flies. They look similar to most common flies but a bite like a horse. We get them from the cows behind the house, you see them land on some exposed skin, think nothing of it then ouch! Overall, not many flies this year here in north Lancs.

Come and see my dogs poop in the garden
Christ, he did the biggest one the other night, a proper double bagger, must have been 100 greenbottles buzzing around it, blooming awful till I made the kids clear it up
Only joking about the kids

One way to get rid of annoying fly in the house is with the hose of a vacuum cleaner
The suction always wins eventually.

Those greenbottles are the dirtiest flies out there! They can land en masse on a dog dump, before it's even fallen fully out of the dog's arse!!🤢🤮

I bought this today, costing me £8.50 from Tesco. I can't use that fly paper again as honestly, that glue gets everywhere! Let's see how this goes on!!😉

Are fly's getting smarter?
I'm sitting here with my feet up and the pesky things are annoying the hell out of me.As soon as I grap the fly spray there gone never to be seen again ,and I haven't even sprayed the little buggers.
Have they finally learnt what a can of fly spray looks like nowadays

I think they've sussed out that contraption I posted about above your post, as not one fly has landed on it!!🙄 Not even one tiny fruit fly has been drawn in by that supposed fly attracting blue light! In fact last night many fruit flies were sat on the box it came in, but not the thing itself! It's as if they were mocking me, saying 'nice try, but do you think we are that dumb'?! Having said that, I noticed when I got home this evening that the fruit flies have disappeared! Maybe they were mindful of the supposed fly catcher, and decided to do one to another place, not wanting to be unable to resist landing on it!🤔😏
