Yes, you'll be fine. Talking of which I'm meeting Sig as usual at Liverpool Street at 10.30-10.45 if you want to meet us to travel to HPC. We normally take the Embankment, Northumberland Ave, Traf. Square and The Mall but were thinking of going via Holborn, West End / Aldwych, Trafalgar Square, the Mall for a change of scene. Let me know if you want to join us. Equally we can potter over to Fenchurch Street if it suits.

It would be lovely to ride to HPC with you! What time would you like us to be at Fenchurch Street? (I wouldn't have a hope of finding Liverpool Street in the dark; assuming Fenchurch Street isn't miles out of your way, that is...)

Some of you will be familiar with some of the following, but please do take the time to read it nonetheless.

It can get pretty chilly in South Essex. Do bring light layers, hats and gloves.

Please, please check your tyres, brakes, mudguards, chains and panniers. These are the principal causes of breakdowns, and a surprising number are preventable

A number of us will be meeting outside platform 12 at Victoria Station at about 11.15, We'll ride up to Hyde Park Corner at about 11.30. There's another small bunch leaving Liverpool Street at 10.45

Helen, just let us know when you're getting in, I'll be there. I can always pick you up then pick up Sig or vice versa. I'll try to pick a nice route suitable for the 'bents. Anything I should be avoiding?

Glad to see the weather forecast has improved and rain has disappeared from it. This is entirely because I searched out my mudguards and have them in the hallway waiting to be attached.

Had five hours' sleep last night after a late-night ride with the Essex YACFers. Am now knackered. I need to get a good night's sleep tonight to prepare for tomorrow else I shall be VERY grumpy!

Good Morning all, could somebody please pick up some timetables for me for the return on Saturday morning from Southend. I am planning to cycle as far towards central London as possible but may need to catch a train in deepest Essex if I'm running out of time.

Southend Victoria to Liverpool Street
Southend Central to Fenchurch Street
Southend Town to Hull...

Any others I may need?

I presume you are either coming from Benfleet or a station before that and two of these trains go round the Tilbury loop -not that it matters, it just takes longer. I'll pick up the peeps (probably just Sig) from Liverpool Street and trundle over. Give me a call if you have any problems. You have my number I think. Just remember to get to the station in time if you're getting one of the Tilbury loop trains because they do depart earlier than you think. Do I sound like your Dad now?

We're going to get the 21:57 from Benfleet which gets in at 22:43. If we miss it or have some other disaster (if they don't let the trike on, for example!) I shall text you - I do still have your number.
