smooth and somehow slightly unsavoury, I like it
Teef has promised to try and look out of breath and tired at some point during the ride, just to make us all feel a bit better

No pun intended! My knees are weak and decrepit.

Nero or Costa?

Cappucino or Latté...maybe ristretti? Or fruit tea? Panini - or ordinary stickers? Chocolate twist or millionaire's shortbread?

Stu - you have a busy time ahead!
(I must try a folder 'ere I get older - it might make me bolder, and you'll say "I told ya!")

'Teef old chap, no confusion here. Yesterday, it appeared there was no chance the Jetstream could be ready. Today, looks like it could be, tomorrow I'll know for certain (no word from LBS yet). Any confusion is entirely on your part!
Try a folder? That can be arranged. Tell you what, bring a pedal spanner and whatever size allen key your pedals need, and you can take whatever I bring, it'll be a Dahon, black and folding in any case, up that little hill just before Brighton, you know the one . If I'll fit, I can try whatever underweight newfangled huge wheeled bike you're on! I'd be a 56 in most road frame sizing:smile:.

a correction and some withdrawals....

apparently the 'convective weather' that dumped an inch of rain on my little bit of South London in less than an hour last night will clear. Apparently. The cat is under the duvet with his paws over his ears.

HELP!!

To ensure I'm not confined to the doghouse, I have to (quite rightly!) exercise my parental obligations and collect my daughter at a time that precludes me getting to HPC by midnight.

I won’t be able to leave home (Esher) much before midnight. Can anyone let me know the route and approx time the peloton may be in the vicinity of Mitcham/Ewell/Epsom? I'm guessing around 1am ish?

Thanks

Call me. I don't do meetings-up along the route (well, except for Hatler, of course)

I think I might have managed to persuade Mrs h that the drive to Ditchling with coffee was a runner. However, I was away in N Africa last week and since Tuesday morning I haven't exactly been, how shall we say, absorbing much food. In fact other than a few water biscuits I haven't eaten anything. So, this combined with the school summer fair tomorrow means The Greenhouse Cafe will not be open. Sorry.

Am I the only one who got three hours sleep last night?

nope, been the story all week, but I have this afternoon off, and will be hitting sack at about 3, hoping to sleep til 9ish, we'll see. If I arrive all cheery and greeting you merrily, you'll know it worked. If I'm looking downcast and mumble incoherently you'll know it failed.

Well, I am missing a treat, so good luck everyone and have fun! I look forward to write ups, pictures and gossip! God, am even missing out on sigs cake, again!!

As a double precurser to even thinking about cycling it using my knackered old rear wheel, I broke both my SPD-SL cleats, again! Its like that film, Final Destination, someone up there is stopping me going out and enjoying myself... Well, on my bike anyhow.. my road bike that is! hehe
