Train Manager reckons it will have sorted itself out for tea time London departs unless there are more thunderstorms. Announcing that the following services will continue north of Donny.

Won't make it up the Minster tower this trip.

Yup, Grand Central ditched their 125s. Silly billies. Now approaching York. Should be there in a few. Phew.

TPE web-site spouting doom and gloom about trains beyond Leeds.
I've just plotted a route from Leeds to Goole and torn the appropriate pages out of an old road atlas.
I know that a couple of the * are travelling across this evening but is anyone else also travelling via Leeds ?
If so, shall we make our own pelican ?

• If no southerners can make it, MARCUS will lead the ride. Text him or/and me if you can't get there for the start.
• We don't want someone left at the start with the ride gone.
• The WI at Garthorpe are aware of our difficulties but know we'll be there on time, 4am ish.
• If you're booted off the train at Doncaster, be aware that we'll try to form a posse to meet the ride at Goole. (Or Google, perhaps.) So try to contact us/me/Gordon.. Or post on here.
• Finally, it's fortunate this is happening to The Fridays, and not a normal cycling club.

Made it in one piece, at 1615 or thereabouts. After waiting to get the bike off, over to the (lovely) B&B and now sat in the Lamb & Lion Inn with Jen and Daryl...they have to shoot off for parental stuff later so will probably head to the CrinklyDen later...

LNERUpdate All lines have now re-opened. Services are still subject to change and delay, but trains are now running the full route between both #KingsCross and #Edinburgh, and Kings Cross and #Leeds in both directions.

Just arrived home, having been caught in one of the London soakings. @Gordon P and @Nick Saddlesore - I'm starving and tired so aiming for my booked train of 9pm. If there are any projected delays when I get to Kings X, I'll post/telephone.
