Folding Bike Theft

A bike is stolen in the U.K. every 71 seconds, For a Masters Product Design course I am developing a device that reduces bike theft, and in particular folding bikes. Initial research has shown that a lot of bikes get stolen from trains and busses when the user is not looking or unaware as they are seated away from their bikes, If you have experienced this please reply to this thread.
