Quite so. In fact I put a tenner on them at 5-1 to win the cup so I could have some interest after Engerland get knocked out.

Thought I’d lost it Last night. Phew!

The thing that always amazes me about the Germans is how they can be so successful with what they have. They don’t have a Ronaldo or a Messi. They just pass the ball around teams. I think their secret must be how hard they work off the ball. With the exception of Spain they’re about the only team who always seem to have a couple of options for a pass. Their mental attitude is also really important at this level. Like the All Blacks in Rugby Union they walk onto the pitch thinking they’re going to win.
