Horrible when you don't know what it is - I'm waiting for an appointment calling me in about some blood test results and I'm caught in an up-down alternation between ''oh, it's nothing'' and a feeling of dread. So, I hope it's the nothing bit for you.

I found a wee 'lump' some years ago and had it checked out by the Doc. Sent for a scan and check (within 1 week) and it was all OK. It's still there too - about 20 years on !

My brother, a GP, said that it is actually quite a common thing - a bit like a 'third testicle' I certainly didn't feel 'extra well hung' - just a bit concerned !

Hope your turns out to be as minor - but good on you for following Mickle's Tip of the Day. :bravo:

Hope all will be ok for you. Went through this about 15 years ago and know how worrying it can be. All i can say is try not to worry, i actually was ill with the anxiety of it all. Went private for the ultrasound for speed and was best money ever spent.

All best wishes SKS. I went through this a few years ago. My GP said that if the lump is on the outside of the ball, there is probably nothing to worry about. If it's inside, it might be something, but it might not. I expected her to refer me to a specialist. "Lets have a look", she said. That took me by surprise, and I'm amazed that the offending organ came out for her inspection given the fear and adrenaline.

Get a scan as soon as possible. Probably nothing, but worth checking. I paid for a private ultra sound recently as the doc had made a mess of my snip. Was worried about blood flow. Got sum lumps and bumps on my pipe work now, that I'm going back next week to urology to get something sorted as its painful. Hopefully you'll be ok, and could always be an inflamed epididimis or cyst which the scan spots straight away.

Good outcome.
Threads like this just highlight the need for us men to check regularly and discuss mens health more openly.
To all the guys on here recently that are having checks/scans/ops ...... The best of luck.
To the rest of you .... Go have a feel of your balls !!!!!
