Just about to start fettling up my old Mercian Audax which has developed a few small rust bubbles in the paintwork over the last 14 years of use.
Got my sample of touch up paint today from Mercian but they warn that it is a stoving paint and as such will not air dry. They suggest using a hot air blower to ensure that the finish will harden and set sufficiently.
However they were a bit vague about what temperature is required and for how long the paint must be heated to effect a good stable finish.
Anyone out there had any experience of this. Will a fan heater or hair dryer suffice and if so how close should it be to the painted frame to do the job?
