I've a blue Ribble winter frame, 25c tyres and guards do not fit.

Going to have to bit the bullet and get a new frame so I can fit some 25c tyres and mudguards.

Does such a frame exist?

Thanks!

Doesn't the Ribble winter frame normally come with mudguards, albeit with 23mm tyres? Have you asked Ribble for suggestions? http://www.ribblecycles.co.uk/sed/r...equipped?part=SE14ARIBSHIMAUDAX&sub=conf_SERW

Or go with 23mm tyres, minimal difference ultimately

I have 25mm tyres and SKS chromoplastics on my 2013 Genesis Equilibrium 20, the frame with carbon fork cost me £400 as end of line. Looks like this years is a similar cost http://www.singletrackbikes.co.uk/m.../RS_GB/83287?gclid=CIeT2JDllL8CFa2WtAodd0wAFA

http://www.ukbikesdepot.com/m90b185.../RS_GB/34489?gclid=CM3rycfnlL8CFWPItAodikYAmA

Note, you need P clips for a fixed rack but it is possible

I also used to have 25mm tyres and Crud guards on my Giant Avail (wsd version of Defy). The Cruds are crud IMO but Giant's own guards fit and are much better

Yeah, 23c tyres and mudguards fit no problem. I've had 25c tyres on it recently without guards and the bike feels a bit better, regarding vibration etc.
Yeah I've sent them an email, they are slow to reply.

Most Audax/light tourer frames are designed around 28mm tyres and guards.

See a lot of Equilibriums out there with guards and decent width tyres.

My own Audax machine is a Condor Fratello - plenty of room for decent tyres and guards.

The bike industry is slowly bringing out more and more models that can take at least 25mm tyres and guards - this is a good thing!

Have you already tried mudguards designed for minimum clearance frames such as the Crud Road Racer II and SKS etc?

Yeah. Problem is the area around the bottom bracket. 1mm to spare literally.

So not the width of the tyre, more the height? Are you using p* resistant tyres? They seem to be taller. Definitely worth looking at other 25mm tyres first...
It's the the gp4000 tyres. More the height yes at bb area. Though there's maybe 2mm max width wise everywhere. The same around the brake bridge regarding height. I think it's a 100% no go, just spied the Kinesis t2 frame. In love. What bugged my about the Riibble anyway is the RIBBLE RIBBLE RIBBLE RIBBLE Plastered all over it. Garish.

Sounds like a great excuse for a new bike...the Genesis is a thing of loveliness, especially mine

I've got 25mm tyres and full SKS chromoplastics on a Dolan Preffisio frameset - £199 for alu frame, carbon forks and seatpost. Full mudguard and rack eyelets. Not the lightest frame in the world but an excellent winter trainer/commuter choice.
