The thread topic is good, but far too wide reaching a subject ; I could post pretty much any song from the UK charts between 1968 and 1988.
So I will stick with the first gig thing.
Went to see The Stranglers live in Osaka, Japan, during my first trip to sea in the merchant navy. Late 1978 or early 1979.
Couldn't find any clips of that gig, but.....

Sorry, no idea! The ship was in Kobe, a few of us took a train up to Osaka when we found out The Stranglers were playing. Out of interest, I will do a bit of googling.
Edit.... @Oldhippy , it would appear to have been the Mainichi hall, February 14th 1979.
