XCWeather and the BBC took a bit of a wobble this morning and started predicting drizzle from Crawley onwards, but normal service has resumed and we are looking, still, at 0.2mm total.

On the fizz front. Rich and Antonia will come to the Madeira bearing bubbles. Now I know some of you have very strong views about the consumption of alcohol, but I'd be grateful if you would form an orderly queue....

GrumpyGregry

Here for rides.
It is my sincere intention to see you all tomorrow morning at Chelsea Bridge. If it goes awry I have Simon and Adrian's numbers, stored on the card index inside my portable telephonic apparatus.

If you want company there might be three others doing a bit of a short-cut at the start (you might even be on the same train as two of them), and I've recommended Sloane Square.

The weather is looking pretty good now, a little bit of a head wind, but hardly a gale, mild temperatures, and pretty much dry (fingers crossed).

I'm afraid I'll be boring and be riding the Kaffenback, it's a better bike if we hit any dodgy roads at all, and there's always a bit of a risk of wet leaves (aka Chutney) at this time of the year. I've barely had any chance to try out the new fast red bike, so it'll be kept back for use in the more summery months of the year, when the FNRttC returns in 2011.

On the plus side, this does mean I'll have my normal stupidly large quantities of spares and tools.

Going to have to duck out of this one sorry due to a badly timed bout of tonsilitis (not me).

Will definitely be on the first ride of 2011 if that's ok.

good luck everyone have a blast !
