Looking forward to this. My son Scott will also be joining us for his first Fnrttc. He is on my mid 80s Falcon, which is stil going strong

Here for rides.
If you want company there might be three others doing a bit of a short-cut at the start (you might even be on the same train as two of them), and I've recommended Sloane Square.

Have given these frightfully nice people my number. My prefer for Chealski Bridge is driven by a chance I may not get to Victoria until 12:10. Depends when my meeting ends. Adrian kindly offer to wait for me at the bridge and drag me back to the peleton...

...where I can vomit from the exertion.

That's good Tim! Young iLB 'inherited' my Falcon of the ahem 'early' 80s, so it will be interesting to take a look...Also, Andy (iLB) was a similar age when he cracked his first Friday Nighter...to Brighton - then back again, for his first 100, then probably slept for a week ( early preparation for university ).

Vintage corner...
I'll be riding a Galaxy from the late 80's... next year one or other of my kids may want to join the fun, the two older ones rode 1970's Galaxys on their JoGLE this summer.

There will always be a guardian angel hovering Martin...
There should always be a Tail-End-Charlie (or three) behind you. Having said that, on one memorable occasion when cycling into Southend as the TEC, I was overtaken by more than a dozen members of the peleton, who had somehow manage to get behind us! Ultimately this was apparently because they had got ahead of the leader, and turned the wrong way. The moral of the story is, don't sprint ahead of the leader, unless you're certain of where you're going, and if you go wrong because of this, tough!
