Am I the only person looking forward to this hill?
I don't think so.....

Still I have laid all my kit out in order of colour
Colour?
As in something other than black?
I'm struggling to visualise you in cerise salopettes, for instance.
Or a cerulean buff.
Just sayin' ...

After this ride I'm thinking of cycling from Burham-on-Crouch to Ebbsfleet station (crossing the Thames via the Tilbury/Gravesend ferry).
Anyone else heading this way ?

A few of us will be heading to Darford Crossing. Happy to drop you off at Stanford Le Hope, where you can just take the Brentwood Road all the way to Tilbury.

Thanks, that could work.
I'd like to make the 11:30 train from Ebbsfleet, which working backwards means I need to be at Tilbury by 10:30 (to catch the 10:45 ferry) which in turn means Stanford Le Hope around 10
I make that leaving Burnham-on-crouch around 08:00 for a leisurely ride, or 0830 if upping the pace.
If that aligns with your route & pace I'll cycle with you guys as far as Stanford Le Hope, if not I'll have to push ahead to make the ferry/ train.
(I'd like to make the 11:30 from Ebbsfleet as my second organised bike ride on Sat starts in Ashford Kent at 12:00 - which amazingly is only 20 minutes on the train from Ebbsfleet. I thought I had to do one ride or the other, but it looks like I'll make both the FNRttC and the H&SLCC rides :-) )

Well, thing is, it depends how long we have to wait for brekkie and then the ferry of which last time we had an hour wait. It also only takes 5 or 6 bikes, so if other people are in the queue it can take longer.

I still think we should consider skipping the ferry. It was a bit of a faff last time....
