65......I hope!Hells bells, 75 participants (plus his leggship), after only a couple of days, and for a ride in October!![]()
You're all nuts, but then again, so am I.![]()
65......I hope!
FNRttCs are about encouraging people to get out and cycle more, as well as doing it in a silly manner, so I'd hate to think that people are put off too much by the thought of the distances involved. I'm sure Simon has a similar opinion (albeit he probably has to take a more conservative approach!) We've all had to start cycling these distances for the first time, and a lot of regulars on these rides never did a ride of this length, or at night, before trying a FNRttC.
Doh! Sorry! I've just worked out who you are (the nom d'internet thing is all a bit complicated for me, and I have you down under your nom d'e-mail - and there are a couple of those). Thanks TimO,
I've done the last two FNRttCs to Brighton, and loved them, especially the wonderful company. My longest ride ever was a couple of weeks ago...67 miles alone in the rain. Two thirds of the way out, morale sank a bit, but nothing that a couple of bananas, a grain bar, and two double expressos couldn't fix. I really missed the "psychological drafting" that I got from the FNRttC crew.
Have fun, and I hope to see you all later.
news just in - we're going to have an upright tricycle on the ride!
that's entirely understandable, though. There have been rides on which I have thought 'If I wasn't leading this sucker I'd be at home in bed right now...' My only concern is that where the numbers to drop below 25 I might have to cancel the halfways stop. The speed with which people have signed up for this ride will only be matched by the speed with which they will bail out when a wet, cold and windy October night is forecast by the cat...
news just in - we're going to have an upright tricycle on the ride! This I am really looking forward to!
