Calm down!!! I assume you're cycling back??

Have a great time everyone, gutted that I had to pull out earlier in the week but I'm bloody exhausted, and now GLW has just come down with conjunctivitis so I'd definitely be needed in the compound tomorrow morning to wrangle the little monster.

How likely do people think it'll be 14-17 celcius overnight and the early morning? Trying to decide what to pack.

it was very mild down here during the night Paul and looking the same tonight. I shall be wearing bib shorts, spesh vest and fnrttc ss jersey, with armwarmers and a showerproof windcheater as back up.

Just off down the route (and on to Wittering) in the car (we go on holiday straight from the ride). Yippee!

warm night in Horsham last night. I'll be in similar clothes, bibs, Friday's SS jersey, gilet, armwarmers and a showerproof layer. Doubt you need much more.

Right now in Haywards Heath it is warm, overcast but bright.

Have a great time guys.

*sniff*.

I'm bringing many layers - I always get cold at the halfway stop and the pub breakfast stop. My bike no longer has a rack on it but it still has squeaky (but working) brakes - anyone fancy helping me to sort them out a HPC?

As I have the gall to have a rack and bring a pannier I'll be taking two spare layers just in case. I find I cool down very quickly too - my body gets lazy while cycling and just stops bothering to keep me warm. I'll be happy to have a look at your squeaks but I'm sure there'll be more competent folk around!

They only need a bit of toe-ing in Becs... if I get there I'll be happy to try. Make sure you wash them though as I like things to be squeaky clean.

'A squeak is a long time in politics - even longer on a bike'
