I am in but fearful of buying a ticket back on the train because

• it is £13 to get to Redhill (where I change trains)
• it is less than that with a Annual Gold Card
• it is £4.45 if I buy a ticket to That London (but secretly and illegally shorten my journey and get off at Redhill)
• BUT I seem not to be able to reserve a space for the bike.
• So I might just ride home.

under no circumstances can you make a bike reservation on Southern Railways.

possession of said reservation from another company will merely give you a split second of the moral high ground before you are laughed at by train crew and fellow passengers.

the chances of you not getting your bike on a train to that landan are almost nil
