Whichever station droid told you that was lying - I've just come on an SWT train out of Waterloo with several full-sized bikes on board.

Looking at the map, I could easily have joined Team Slow and headed for Epsom. I'll know another time.

Great news, but sad, on the Mars expedition.
The cameras picked up signs of life on the descent - super-furry animals apparently - but one of them was crushed by the wheel of the vehicle as it touched down.
Curiosity killed the cat.

AFAIR NASA also had some issues with colour balance ... apparently they didn't realise the UK had switched from red to brown for the live wire on the 3-pin plug and extension lead visible in an early calibration image. Then they got nPower's bill for powering the Rover Lander and had to abandon all future manned missions. Or something like that ...
