I wonder if there are any Welsh on the ride?

I think we should be told or, as per the Severn bridge, tolled.

There's no toll for cyclists!

PS I am emphatically not volunteering to do the Welsh version.
No need to volunteer - the phrase 'obvious candidate' springs to mind

It's a pity that in Welsh, none of the obstacles likely to be encountered are going to sound as good as "microwave".

Ah-ha - the old favourite "popty ping"? Someone was trying to convince me that jellyfish was "pysgod wibli-wobli", but I was sure they were having me on...

Rich, as mentioned yesterday I have a compact lightweight bag specifically for getting your bike on a train as luggage. If you want to borrow it you would be welcome, I could fetch it down in either of the next two weekends. It is a bit of a faff, what with having to take the pedals off, loosen the stem to turn it and take the bars off to secure them to the top tube. Whether it is less of a faff than being refused travel is a personal choice.

I've thought.

I can't think of any good reason not to borrow the bag Adrian. I could pick it up on Saturday pm ( my sister's birthday bash is in Kemp Town) or after the Brighton fnr or at any other time of your choosing!

Simon,

Please add me - I've tried out the Brommie on a 40 mile run. Great on distance, Even better than my road bike downhill. Ide Hill was a bit problematic on only 3 high gears - but i did it - just. So I think I'll be able to pace the TECS on this one ..

I've had a few people straining at the starting line - I've just let them know you've opened up the registration, so if you don't get a fair few more quite quickly I'll be disappointed...

I would be there with bells (lights?) on but I have a doctors note telling me not to :-( However! My knee does seem to be healing well so I'm definitely going to be ok to join in as you go past my flat. If I start one ride and finish one ride does that mean that technically I'd have completed a whole ride???
