I think we should be told or, as per the Severn bridge, tolled.
There's no toll for cyclists!
Good literary point Frank! For Whom the Bridge Tolls !
I've just had an horrendous thought! Will the safety talk have to be in two languages? What's Welsh for Bollards?

No need to volunteer - the phrase 'obvious candidate' springs to mindPS I am emphatically not volunteering to do the Welsh version.
It's a pity that in Welsh, none of the obstacles likely to be encountered are going to sound as good as "microwave".

Rich, as mentioned yesterday I have a compact lightweight bag specifically for getting your bike on a train as luggage. If you want to borrow it you would be welcome, I could fetch it down in either of the next two weekends. It is a bit of a faff, what with having to take the pedals off, loosen the stem to turn it and take the bars off to secure them to the top tube. Whether it is less of a faff than being refused travel is a personal choice.

I've had a few people straining at the starting line - I've just let them know you've opened up the registration, so if you don't get a fair few more quite quickly I'll be disappointed...
