Can any Cardiff peeps provide a bed for Saturday night?
The plan is for me to crash with a friend but he's not sure yet if he'll be back in town by Saturday evening (though we do have tentative plans for Sunday). Alternative digs are a back-up plan, so if my friend is back in time I'll stay with him. Sadly, spending the night in Swansea is not an option as if I did, there's no way I'd get back to Cardiff in time on Sunday!

Well! If he can do it from Welling I can do it from Oxfordshire, though I never gave it any thought. So, the questions are: is @martint235 doing it this time, and could I tag along at some point and how is he getting back?
Depends if you can keep up with him for all that way...he's no slouch.

I'm not doing it this time unfortunately. I am determined to do it though. There is usually a small contingent rides out from London but I've not heard anything this year. My fitness is also a concern at the mo. I would be planning on getting a train back from Swansea when I do finally get round to doing it. I think it's about 160 miles from Welling to Cardiff so I'd be looking at a 220 mile ride overall which isn't the longest I've done but still not something to be entered into lightly hence my concerns about my current fitness.

I'll be riding over from Bristol; I'd be happy to meet anyone else at Temple Meads station who fancies joining me. I have a back roads route plotted of about 55 miles.

From Welling it'll be a lot more than 160. BikeHike reckons 190 or so.

Haven't done any plotting but Google reckons 162 miles (although I doubt I'd be using the recommended M4). With 190 it would push it up to a 250 miler which is still doable particularly as the end would be done at FNRttC speeds. I wouldn't want to do it the other way round though.

I'm trying to sort out whether I want to join this ride. Where is the "Millennium Basin", Cardiff? When I type it in to Google it comes up with a Radisson Hotel, is it far from the Station and does anyone meet up before kick off?
