Bury Hill from the east, rather than down the A29. It's not anything like as fearsome a climb, but the road is narrow, there are turns and there may be a bit of traffic. Another early morning Saturday recce is called for

When we did this in January, the 4 of us stuck together, and at that time in the morning, there wasn't much traffic (and we were later than would be normal, due to Davy's aerial antics).

Perhaps the solution would be to send people off in groups of 5-6 at 1 minute intervals, with strict instructions to stick together and not to race the group ahead.

That's a kind offer, but I know the road - I just need to work out how much traffic there's going to be.

Tbh I think I was just having a bit of a wobble. We'll take the Gurkha bridge

We'll take the Gurkha bridge

Then we take Berlin.

Of matters Gurhkinese, the Guardian had a feature on a restaurant of such persuasion, in the colour supplement on Saturday.
And we all know the ride to Bognor is absolutely fabulous.

You're one of the Menai used to admire on this forum Greg, but now you're in dire Straits after rubbish like that.

I am looking forward to this ride, as I will be riding my new Van Nick. What I found previously with my heavy tourer was that I was getting overtaken by a girl, who will remain nameless. So can TI leave her behind when the pace picks up?
